This allows you to download the report as one spreadsheet rather than having to customize the table layout. If you want to export the data as text rather than the default columnar grid which automatically downloads into Excel , you can change that here too.
Depending on the size of the request it can take a few minutes to complete. If it times-out, you will need to re-run the search but with fewer variables or dates.
Once the report has run, in the top menu bar on the left press Save. In the Save Output box name the file, choose a file type, and press Save. It is good practice to save a copy of any custom reports you build in addition to the data you download. If you have the report it is much easier to update the dataset. The variables you see when creating the custom report display differently in SDC than they do in the downloaded version.
