You could try capturing the changes when you turn off the tickbox, or look on appdeploy. I'm searching for it for more than 2days: Hope will get a solution. As EdT says, in corporate situations, the Update tab is generally removed and the Control Panel applet is taken care of by disabling applets or indeed, CP itself via Group Policy, meaning that users have no access whatsoever to the update functionality.
